This high quality reinforced silicone hose kit replaces the radiator, heater and expansion tank coolant hoses in the engine bay, including the plastic expansion tank pipes which are prone to cracking. The hoses fit all right-hand drive Freelander MK1 1.8 Petrol models up to VIN 5A476242 with the Pressure Relief Thermostat (PRT).
The kit can also be used to retrofit a PRT to a non-PRT MK1 Freelander 1.8 Manual which is a common upgrade to prevent head gasket failure. The PRT thermostat is not included but is commonly available (part no. PEL500110R), along with a T-piece (part no. PFK000031), Thermostat Blanking Plate (part no. PEL000040) and Thermostat Seal (part no. PEF10010) to blank off the original thermostat. These 4 parts along with our hose kit covers everything you need to upgrade to a PRT.
